Jobs/Roles in the ECE Community: National/Federal Level

We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children." (NAEYC)

I could not find job opportunities for NAEYC.

Zero to Three is an organization that is geared towards starting children in their learning experience as early as infant age. 

"Our mission is to ensure that all babies and toddlers have a strong start in life. At ZERO TO THREE, we envision a society that has the knowledge and will to support all infants and toddlers in reaching their full potential." (Zero to Three)

The job opportunity that interested me is the Marketing Specialist position. The summary of the position is as follows:

"ZERO TO THREE is seeking a Marketing Specialist to assist with the implementation and evaluation of marketing campaigns to drive sales and engagement with ZERO TO THREE’s membership, products, events, and services. The ideal candidate is someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is passionate about using his/her marketing skills and experience to contribute to an important mission." (Zero to Three)

Job Duties:

Conducts marketing campaigns, including writing and laying out emails, updating web content, and analyzing results.

Develops and maintains schedules for marketing campaigns. Monitors internal and external activities to achieve maximum impact from campaigns.

Implements traditional and digital membership acquisition, engagement and retention marketing campaigns to meet program goals and maximize revenue.

Supports all aspects of planning, writing, coordinating graphics, and distributing a wide variety of promotional materials for programs, products, and events.

While I may not have all the experience, Zero to Three's vision is one I can get behind. I believe if you have the same passion and a team has the same goal, anything can be accomplished. If did get this position I would have to learn a lot! I think it would certainly be worth it because I get to draw people in and get them on board through marketing. 

Last is the Children's Defense Fund

I love that this organization is targeting children who if they didn't have anybody fighting for them they would not receive what they need for success at the beginning. A strong start is important for children. They did have job opportunities but none I was interested in.
